Awesome rare fish!

I remember these fish being fairly common. I was unaware they were hard to get now. I had to do some research and found the reason was because in the country where they collect them became off limits do to long raging conflict with Colombian government most of these areas are under control of various paramilitary groups and narcotrafficking organizations making commercial collection impossible. But they said some collecting sites have reopen to collecting again possibly dropping prices on these again.

I generally hate Plecos, but that guy is nice! For that kind of money, he would need to sing and dance on command...and not just for me, but in front of others.

I am sure the fish dept at the local WalMart can order me one. They got me a Jaguar Shark with no problem.

One of our wholesalers has had them for months at over 1000$ each.

I bet we are thinking of the same wholesaler...they have had them for a very long time. I think they sold the smaller one, they were asking $850 or something for it.

if you can get it for 650 you are in luck....that's cheap for a blue eye pleco
