I dont know anything about their compatibility with other species, but his finger got bit more because of mistaken identity than pure aggression. He keeps that fish alone in a 200g with a rock overhang on one side. The fish stays under the ledge of the overhang & stares at the surface of the water ALL DAY, just waiting for something to break the surface. In the wild, they will take anything, including mice & other small animals that make the mistake of drinking in the wrong spot. Anyway, like I said, his knuckle broke the surface before the shrimp, so it got bit. The Pike let go as soon as it realized the mistake, but the wound was pretty ugly. Down to the bone.
