Its common for them to do that when they get bigger, like a lot of male cichlids.

Yea dorsals don't matter. Yeah my little guy is a porker I don't know why though he doesn't eat excessively as I feed him every other day some times 2. I feed him less because when I fed him everyday he got so fat his belly looked like a golfball and his face was tiny lol so I tried slimming him down and he is a fairly good weight. He is not as fat as he used to be and he used to have a Nuchal but it went away but it was never really big.
