thank you

They need to be kept cool, below 22 C. This may be hard in Singapore; try to find the coolest room in the house, or place a bottle of ice in the tank each morning.

Axolotls are lazy and don't need much space. A ten gallon tank is fine for two. Use gentle filtration as they don't like current. They will appreciate flowerpots or other hiding spots. They will eat fish- or shrimp-based pellets, beef heart, and most small live animals up to the size of guppies or earthworms. Either leave the tank bottom bare or use gravel too large for them to swallow.

I stick with the bare-bottom approach, since they are quite messy and it prevents leftover food getting trapped. They love earthworms and prawn. Bloodworm is good but try not to let any spoil in the water, it grows fungus which can spread to them quite quickly.

Keep them in a species only tank, only with axolotls of similar size. Fish will nip gills, and snails may eat the slime coat. Big axies may eat smaller ones.

Good luck, they're pretty fascinating :)

First I would like to say that I am soooo jealous. I have wanted these for a long time. I see you have two...Is this a breeding pair perhaps?!

i've never had one, but be sure to have a tight lid on the top. a friend of mine said his got out of the tank and walked right past him while he was sitting on the couch

^ Hahahahahaha, thats just classic, i never knew these guys could actually breathe air... so that would be quite funny if you were sitting down watching TV one day and all of a sudden you see out the corner of your eye some white thing moving towards your door...

thanks guys, they are still quite small... less than 3" very cute like the way they eat. At the moment only brine shrimp as 1 pack can last very long.
