I'm getting the1580045946554.png
Zoo Med Aqua Cool Aquarium Cooling Fan as a nano chiller for my tank. The reviews say it worked well and it was 1st on the top 10 nano chillers of 2020. Overnight the temperature increased to 68F

A digital thermometer was a min/max recording could tell you if you tank is reaching perimeters that were out of ideal when your not present. You never really know if your recording at a peak temps (hi or low) other wise.

I forgot to mention that my tank was a starter kit and has a lid with lights attached and has an opening for filter and I managed to squeeze the fan in the opening. That fan is too big so it wouldn't fit. Also the I setup the Zoomed fan and it worked great. Remp now at 65FWIN_20200126_16_28_45_Pro.jpgWIN_20200126_16_28_51_Pro.jpg
that tube is the fan

It will all depend on the temps but to me having the lid will keep the heat in
The hob will add heat and the light is too bright

i know you want light but they don’t like it

but if you can keep it cool with the lid and hob ok keep it
Also too much water flow will stress them
Out which is why I recommend a air doing filter

i still feel it’s too bright

ok
This was a starter kit I got for my fish. Now the fish have moved out, I decided to get an axolotl. I'll lower the filter flow, add lots of shade (plants, ornaments) cut on light time. Try to cool it down more

There are do modules each with 3 LEDs I might cut the wire leading to the 2nd one
