yeah,who cares?

azul are found in brazil, and brazil have banned export of their fishes.
are you worried someone will catch you for having a wild azul?

yeah...i think all the small guys recently were captive bred.

So in the first post you question if someone would be upset by keeping wild caught illegal fish, then 2 posts later you say the same fish are not wild.

Do you have a clear though here or you just wanted to post?

So... someone can't ask a question and then also make a statement? Whether or not he felt the fish were wild caught had absolutely nothing to do with addressing the OPs question about participating in owning illegal fish.

:OMG: Someone missed class on the day they teach "Freedom Of Speech!" :grinno: Or probably someone has no class at all!

And be warned that let's not instigate matters further. Encourage a mature discussion but instigating matters for the sake of picking up an argument is another story.

Decent Ornios imo are way better lookin than a azuls! People just like azuls cuz they are rare!

if you ask me,i'll take an azul over orino any day no matter how common each were!
azul just look so much better with the 5 bars and blue fins.

I can tell that you really appreciate your Azul! :) At first, I thought Azul is dull to see. Once I keep them, let them settle in, I like the way they look and their character more and more! :)

Is Azul in the ban list of exporting from their original country????

just want to know before I make some inpulsive decision... (lfs got WC Azul for $260 each)

;)
Azul may be banned from exporting from their original country, but it doesn't mean Azul is listed on restricted species or on CITES, so it's not illegal to sell, trade, or own Azul

The IUCN has never investigated the conservation status of any peacock bass species. Therefore they do not appear on its red list.[2] Currently, there are no reports of any peacock bass species being endangered.

Ide trade my 11" Kelberi for a 10-13" Azul in a heartbeat.
