Put some flakes in a plastic sandwich baggie, and crush the flakes into a mega fine powder....Other than that, they will graze algae, and eat the parents regurgitated bits......
Any of the floating pellets will sink if you crush them up. So whatever you already have is probably fine! Mine just spawned too, I'm glad to finally have some feeders for my piranhas.
