were theare all these people getting the id "mazan" from how do you know if it is indeed a "mazan"? If all you have done is just glanced at the cichla and found some similarity, that would NOT be all you need to id that fish and i mean not straight down to its river system! And for those of you who want to know what a "mazan" mono actually is, well its just an ordinary peruvian mono that has a name. Hah, and did you know that rio mazan is actually connected to its mother river rio napo? kinda strange we dont call mazans monos napo monos. either way here is a pic and well i just dont get well all this mazan is coming from. All i want is for people to stick to the facts.
O.P sorry for being a beach but just throwing this out and btw technically there is no such thing as a 24k mono, that would be a kelberi. but it could be a figure of speecheither way awesome cichla.
This is just an educated guess
peru mono doesnt have a whole body shine??? just in the bottom part???
a 24k is a fish with just all gold and no body blotches in the stomach????
a mazan mono have red eyes!
