Datnoids are too slow of growers. I wouldn't try the mix until the Datnoid is 5 inches long or more and the Aro has matured a bit.

The mix can definitely work, though. Just not right away.

asoan aros are the next aggressive after jars

and it may depend on the aro but i had 9 asian aros in with 4inch dats that would make the odds fairly high of it working
