Hi all I recently got myself a baby silver arowana of about 6 inches. he is been fed with live feeder fish at LFS and i did same for five days, now I want him to eat pellets and mammal fillets how do I train him to do that

Wait couple days till he gets hungry then start feeding crickets but make sure they don't have any hard parts cuz it might hurt them. After they start eatin from the top then after couple weeks you start feeding him arowana food sticks (hikari). Gl

Just offer a pellet or food stick, within a few days it will be eating them.

Usually an aro at that size, I would feed it bloodworms as much as it wants

I'd stick with what you're feeding.

However, try to progress towards non-live first. Try some bloodworms or frozen brine shrimp and mix a pellet or two during these feedings. In time, it might start eating them, and you can start switching up to pellets. My two cents.

@ Ryan do you mean live blood worms ?

Another problem since two days is he is getting shattered when he sees any one near his tank, whenever I go to feed him he gets scared and bangs himself to the walls of the tank
