I did some research to see the compatibility of pictus cats with arowanas and most of the people had success.

So then you also found that some people had no success? I know a member here that had a 7" silver killed by a 5" pimelodius catfish. Why take the risk, just grow the aro out to 10" and then worry about tankmates.
