Baby arowanas

My lfs has some baby silver arowanas, and I was thinking of getting 2. I have a 90g at the moment and, will in the future upgrade to a 180, in about 2 years.
My question is would they be ok in there for 2 years? Right now they are about a 1.5 to 2 inches in size. And will they be ok with a silver needle nose gar?

nope. They would outgrow a 90 within 2 years. If cared for correctly they could reach 15-16" in a year.

OK so stupid question time, are there such things as miniture arowanas?
And are there any other speices of arowanas that dont grow as fast of as large?

no "mini" aros, but a jardini will grow slower and not quite as large from what I understand.

there no mini arowana so you have to have a big tank if your planning to house one, minimun requirement 5x2x2 or 6x2x2 the bigger the better

plus, u cant mix 2 aros without any injuries or death.
