try to get it to eat pellets early. all i feed mine since 3" were frozen bloodworms and now at 9", i cant get it to eat anything else. i tried chicken last night and the other fish loved it, but the BGK spit the chicken out. feeding it feeders sometimes may make it a little more aggressive and, therefore, outgoing, but make sure you quarantine or grow your own and dont give it to the BGK very often.
thanks again!! my bgk is currently feeding on sinking pellets and tubifex worms and i'll try to feed him bloodworms and see how it goes, although he only eats at night though maybe when he's outgoing i'll try to post with some pics, thanks again guys! happy holidays!!
Ryane i have a baby bgk also about 3-4inchs.. does yours come out at all at day time.. mine sits in this cave all day and dusnt eat when every one eles does so on.. =[ i dont know if im doing wrong or he is just like dat
ey bala sharkies!! belated merry xmas and a happy new year!! hehe, its been more than a week now with my BGK, well at first he/she only comes out at night "exploring" when the lights are off, a few days after it started eating pellets and tubifex worms at night, again after a few days later i was surprised it was out of its cave by mid day probably searching for food so i gave some hehe. it'll come around just give it some time to adjust, mine did and currently i'm trying to find pellets that'll fit in its mouth hehe!!
