that's what people usually feed small piranhas, the smallest rhom I had was 4" so brine shrimp and blood worms are way too small. and I had no problem got it on shrimp and fish fillets.
when my reds bred the baby reds love brine shrimp and blood worms

doesn't hurt to try if your fish is not eating anything else.

what size is the fish anyway? and how certain are you that it's not eating ANY brine shrimp at all? I mean there's no way for you the count them, it might just eat enough so that it doesn't starve itself.

between .75" -1", I drop the cube in, walk away about 4', and look. it shows totally no interest at all. although even though I have had it for a week, it still poops. small poop, but still poop.

well 4' away doesn't mean that it can't see you.
sometimes my rhom wouldn't eat even when I'm 25ft away.
just leave the room and leave it alone, once it doesn't sense anyone around it'll start eating.

give it time and it'll get use to you. every time I redo my rhom's tank it won't eat in front of me for a while.

heh, the fish still knows you are there, Rhoms can see very well. It took 2 years for him to eat in front of me, and even now he hates to and will only eat when I look away, he is aware of the hunk of food, but watches me, when I get bored and look away he attacks. If I look back at him directly he spits the food out.

funny, mine sometimes do the same. I could be 25ft away looking at it and it would just staring me right back and hovering near the smelt and wouldn't touch it at all.
or I could be 2ft away busy feeding my pygos and it would swallow the smelt without me knowing it.

Thats really cool. I wish I was able to get my rhom at a inch total length.

Keep up with the prepared foods. At that small of a size it shouldn't be too difficult to get him to accept them. Probably take a few weeks. I would try to stick to one particular food item for the time being.

still wont eat in front of me, but pretty sure he is eating the freeze dried shrimps im giving him. i drop one in, tand in front of the tank, wont touch it. walk away come back in 1 minute, freeze dried shrimp is gone. still wont touch pellets though. for a fish with such a reputation, so skittish

Be prepared to have a skittish fish for quite some time...A year maybe even two.
Its a huge plus that he is at least accepting the foods your offering. Its going to take time but he will learn that you are not going to eat him, and will be more willing to take that food with you there.
These fish a reputation and its for so many people a very bad let down when they actually purchase one....especially when they're small. A VERY large amount of times they're given up on, and thats too bad. They shouldn't have been purchased for the reason of being a "killer" fish in the first place (not saying thats what you did at all).
Most of the time they don't live up to that "reputation" until they reach considerable sizes and they are very slow growers.
