Well got the fish today. One was DOA, one is very close and the other is in good shape. Just got done drip acclimating and I have them in breeders in my 220 for now so I can watch them. Here is more fuel for the fire but they look like silvers to me.

For me is Silver...

GL !

I hope you can salvage two of them! Cute lil buggers when that small.

so I just watched a vidoe in the arowana medai forum on Blue aros. Mine were sold to me as blues and were suppose to be bread by a breeder in asia (which is why the seller is so confident). I always though blue's were blacks but now I am not sure. Is there some sort of hybrid??

Blue is a Black... Blue is only marketing name of black arowana ;)

I found in other forum guy who have lots of black arowana. He is from NJ - John.

"We have all been here before. These are the real black arawana and size is 2.5-3 inches without sacs.

Price is $40; $30 in 20 lots.

These will sell out VERY FAST as they are being offered to our other customers in Peru as well so wait and watch them go bye bye. Only 150 available now."

There are black x silver hybrids, but I don't think they're very common...

i am actually going to change my answer to blacks. the one thing that still pushes me to silver is the lack of the line through the eye. if you look at the fins on the tail they have the black/yellow that brians young blacks have and my eggsacked silvers lacked. also the anal fin is yellow in color witch all my silvers have had a clear fin till they got to around 3" without the eggsack. they also have the strong yellow on the top of the black line down the body. some of my silvers had a simmilar line, but not as deffined. my opinion on what i have seen with my eggsacked silvers compared to what i see in the pics of these. it is still hard to tell.

the one you say isn't doing well, is it lying on the bottom sometimes? if so, it is normal. my silvers would lay on the bottom to rest. most never see this habit cause they are normally in the fathers mouth and are only releast for a breef second only to return to the mouth. with the size of the mouth compared to how many young their is only sitting room in there. they will stop this lying down after or when they are about to lose the eggsack. those are close to doing that, but they are still small and will rest till they build up some more muscle.

i would try to get that weaker one eatting as its yolksack is seperating from it. the ones that did that to me and didn't eat died, the few that had that happen and ate, lived.
