Baby blacks or Silvers?? pics!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice pics, only thing is that the blacks you posted are without yolk sack and darker then when with yolk sack. I would really love to see pics posted of black aros that are the same size as the OPs

Below is a black aro just days off the yolk sack.

i gotta say it's really a tough call, but i agree with the fins being transparent. making me also sway towards silver now, only if they were a week or 2 older we would know for sure.

This is SILVER Arowana !

Look on those pictures. Baby Arowana with yolk sack or just couple days after soak.

They are different ! Dorsal fin in small Black Arowana is BLACK, Silver Arowana have transparent or silver dorsal fin.

First 3 photos - Silver
Next 3 Photos - Black

GL !

Thank you.

Those last 3 pics are what my and every other young black aro i have ever seen looks like. Great pics and finally proof.

<AHAHAHHAHAHAHA T1KARMANN FTL!!!!!

Also agree on silver due to the transparent fins, great fish nonetheless, have fun with them.

nice job michalm, pointing out and actually showing the difference in fin color really should help ID them- its what Ill be using to ID in the future

That is true Brian :) But the black that I posted lost a yolk sack just couple days before the picture was made.

On the first picture that you posted the Arowana looks for me more like silver not black... :)

I never had small Aro with yolk sack. My Black Aro had 5-6in when they arrived to my place. But I have silver Arowana with yolk sack when I was in Poland (7 years ago), and he looks similar with pictures that I posted and both your photos.

It is really confuse for me ;))) Are you sure that on the first picture is a Black Arowana ?
