It's funny, people like you just drive people looking for advice away from this community. "you want to help people" but instead you just call them stupid and tell them to do more research. meanwhile there all here looking for that experience and extra help that some half-ass website can't give. So take your i'm better than you attitude somewhere else.

I assume you are referring to T1 because I never suggested research, however I do feel that bad advice is worse than no advice and it gives the forum a bad name. People should be able to get solid information from a forum like this one, but when half the forum misidentifies a basic distinction like black vs silver it makes us all look like amateurs.

yea but you need to control yourself b/c you can easily say i disagree with them and i'm sure there silvers, thats all i'm getting at. Don't put everyone else down, to be honest i deal with baby silvers with yolk sacs still attached at work all the time, they look different then these so it's a tough call. Either way he should give it a shot and hope for the best.

Well first look at the original pic, looked like a black to me.
Looking again after seeing the silver pic side by side I'm swayed the other way.

This makes me an amateur?
Get off your high horse for a bit, you know nothing about the people you are calling amateur!

Im sorry but those are clearly silvers. Im baffled by the lack of aro knowledge on this forum.

So where have you been, with your vast knowledge of arowana? You have only a couple posts within the arowana forum. Are you just a taker and not a giver?

My apologies to anyone who was offended, but for a second I thought I had logged out of MFK and into the Petsmart message board. Hopefully this thread will contribute to the knowledge pool regarding the difference between black and silver juveniles.

Really? You feel this, yet you would post in another forum to a inexperienced hobbyists that plecos eat poop. :screwy: Then follow up that post with
more posts supporting that bad/false information.:duh:

I think that pleco comment was clearly humorous, I doubt anyone actually believed I keep plecos in my toilet bowl. Your avatar depicts an arowana in a fishbowl, that doesnt disqualify your knowledge because it is clearly humorous.

I can only apologize and move on, because if people are so defensive about something as basic as black vs silver I dont feel I can be of much help.

This whole thread is pathetic in my opinion. The OP was asking for opinions and advice. Instead, the experienced and knowledgable members chose to use their experience to demean others with less experience.

I recently chose to get into Arowanas. I asked questions and was given great advice! But, this thread has me second guessing whether I will post any more Aro questions on MFK.

The truly sad part is, after 6 pages of replies, I don't see a firm answer to the original questions. I think the keyboard warriors need to calm down and actually try to help a fellow MFK member in need.

For the best I think.
People are not defensive "about something as basic as black vs silver", people are defensive when some self proclaimed know it all, starts calling people amatuers!

looks like i am late to the party. those are silvers as already confermed. look just like my baby silvers. they have some others in the lfs by me with the egg sacks like that aswell.
