Rickets? What do you mean? Please clarify. Thanks.
Actuallysounds more like Convulsive trembling.
in the early stages its barely noticeable, and eventually it will get so bad the animal cannot flee or climb. Physical contact that startles the lizard is what sets it off.
The treatment is injections of B1, then oral daily doses of the vitamin.

Maybe that's the problem,
Could also be a need for calcium? Calcium deficiency is osteodystrophy ( aka MBD rickets for reptiles) But lack of B1 causes the trembling.

Hypocalcemia can also cause the seizures. I say make calcium, D3 and B1 a priority. Use a good vitamin supplement like rep cal's herptivite, and rep cal's calcium with D3, unless you are using a UVB bulb. In which case a supplement with no D3 is needed. If those seizures continue I would personally take the animal for blood testing, followed with whatever treatments are needed.

Be real careful with the BTS when helping it shed. The toes and feet are important to aid with certainly. The head area can be troublesome if you interfere too much. Unlike bearded dragons and snakes, it can appear that the shed should come off but it can backfire and take forever to heal, based on a recent experience. Good luck.
