I think that would be awesome for breeding more social serras. if you have the space go for a 6ft x 6ft x3ft with a massive shoal of caribes. lol that would be so impressive.

caribes would be sweet but I'm pretty set on a shoal of spilos. I might just be a serra kind of guy. We'll see what happens. If they eat each other I'll probably go with pygos, but I think if I invest the money in a tank of that magnitude I'm gonna try something rarely done. If it works it'll be worth it, and spilos were going for 25$ 3-4" a few months back which makes a shoal of 8 feasible. If i'm not mistaken the probability of getting enough males and female to form a mated pair of any random distribution of 8 fish is almost guaranteed.

haha I would say no. I think with S. rhombeus each fish would significantly increase the probability that cannibalism would occur. Also a pair is not guaranteed, only that there is an adequate male : female ratio.

Maybe if you were stocking a swimming pool.

i will get mine tommorow i'm getting ten at the 1.5'' for my 125 gal, i was thinking to of getting that 8'' marginatus but then i found out they had ternetzi's, which i always wanted, there 3'' so it's on, i'm going to get three of them for my 55 gal. so i'm doing some serious P shopping that's thirteen baby
