baby cichla ocellaris dying'!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if it was a WQ problem, the ray would suffer the most as channa said. Maybe they are stressed with all the larger tankmates. The temp def needs upper for the bass. Get a test kit and tell us what the parameters are.

oke.
did a nitrate test.
ph is 8
nitrit (no2) 0
nitrate (no3) 10
kh 5
gh 7
just only no ammonia test jet.
is it possible that they still suffer from a peak in no2 , i had 3 weeks ago in another tank with the cichlids?

doubt it.
cause theyre dying in THIS tank.

200g tank with Fx5...that would take quite awhile to cycle. Like 3-4 weeks. Im getting ready to start on my 300g and its going to run for a minimum of 3 weeks on an Fx5 before my cichla go in. And that is with established media. I will be taking the bio media from another well established canister filter as well as a scoop of established gravel, and im still going to give the tank a long time to make damn sure it is ready.

i dont get it,if it were a water problem,im sure the ray wouldve died already.
no other explanation unless those cichla were already sick when he got them.
