220 will be fine, they get to a 1ft super quick... just under 2ft slightly slower than the first ft of growth then slow right down. provide quality food in smaller amounts and you could hold onto him even longer...

Not sure why everyone is jumping on you...With all fish that are purchased small but grow huge its all about research, common sense, reponsibility and planning ahead of time... follow these steps and like hundreds of members on this forum, you won't have a problem.
