Selling a group of fry that I bred. They are currently 0.5” -0.75” each. I have 10 for sale and keeping mine for myself since I sold the adult colony.
These are South American cichlids from the Pacific slope of South America is Columbia. The are part of the Steindachneri/Pellegrini complex. Males grow to 5”’or so, females to about 3.5”. Males get a nice nuchal hump when mature and they breed when the males are under 4” and females just over 2”.
They are peaceful with most fish, being mostly scrappy with eachother. Behavior is very much like their close relatives the red hump eartheaters.
They are undemanding and will tolerate a wide range of water params. I keep mine in 7.8 pH with 539 ppm TDS. Eat well, grow fast, and have great color.
They are gorgeous fish. Not easy to find with Wetspot selling 2-3” ones for $30.
I’m selling these as a group. These will be breeders for you before the year is over if you take good care of them and feed them well.
$75 picked up just north of Downtown LA in Glendale CA.
