Thanks all
Steep learning curve buying a baby one as the first one I purchased was about 12"
Good And bad about buying them when young
You can house them in smaller tanks to begin with
You can train them to take a variety of foods, this one is now taking floating pellets of all kinds including colour enhancing chiclid pellets
At first they are hard to feed though and tearing the heads off meal worms is a royal PITA !

nice little hbrtg u got there.
if you and cut and soak the
the prawn with the shell till
soft it'll bring out more red
in your aro. as the shell has
most of the carotene or
color enhancing vitamins.
and once it's bigger you can
feed live frogs and geckos.
i feed qt'd cb house geckos
bred specifically as feeders
gut loaded with vitamins.
pricey but worth it.

Thanks I will bear that in mind
However the prawns I buy are without shells on them, I will look to buy some with shells on and try this thanks
I am not a fan of feeding anything live though so will not be feeding geckos or anything like that, the only live I feed is morio worms gut loaded with vitamins .
The Aro takes pellets which I hope will contain all the vitamins it needs.
