While at a fish store in NY to pick up some equipment at the register where these things called "Baby in a bottle" which is a betta fry in a babies bottle.

What will they think of next. I wonder how many people just leave them in the bottle and let them die. Thoughts???

Cute, but your right who will move them to a larger enviroment if they are not told to do so.

While living in Thailand I used to see these fish sold in nearly any type of container possible.

I've seen them in emptied out (and cleaned) whiskey bottles and such.

In all fairness the website does suggest that "you may want to move them to a bigger bowl over time" but id bet majority of people dont.

i think its sick that they can be bought in such a container without proper care instructions. apart from the suggestion that "you *MAY*"...

wow, thats just retarded

I used to be in the pet business and believe it or not distributors at one time shipped bettas in styrofoam boxes with wet newpaper seperating layers of fish. No plastic baggies or anything just wet newspaper.
