They really are the most laid back fish in the world.....they won't attack anything, they will always find a way to eat...one day I will get a video of mine at feeding time firstly he waits on me coming then he eats all the stray sinking food mainly prawns that the Peacock Bass and the Aro miss then he moves on to the floating pellets he stands tail down and goes along the surface inhaling the pellets its a sight to see....if there is nothing in your big tank thats overly aggressive then go ahead and move him he will be fine, I held back with mine because at the time I had about 15 cichlids in the big tank all ver aggressive and curious so I was worried he would get picked on.....set up a decent size cave or hiding spot that he can grow into and feel secure in and he will be fine....
