baby jar and datnoid fighting

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a jar at 5" wont stay 5" for long in 2 or 3 months the jat will be 7-8" ant the dat will still be 4"
the jar will outgrow the dat then kill it
jar are very fast growing and aggressive
dats are very slow growing

lol... my jardini and my dat go after my EBJD... i know that the jardini will probably kill all of them if i keep him in the tank. his only buddy in the tank is a 2.5" pbass that i put in the tank yesterday. but he will be food pretty soon.

They are somewhat suitable tankmates, but your tank size also plays a factor in it. How big is your tank?

Let them know each other. Keep an eye on them, though. If a little nip here and there, fine. If thing gets serious, then separate them. Ignore Aro-lover and cambo01. No offense, but they seem don't know squat about aro or datnoid!

what is a piece of driftwood supose to do? This is just common jar behavior, you shoouldve domne some homework before getting a tankmate.
What kind of homework should he have done? :screwy: Dat and aro are known can be kept together!

When did I ever say they couldnt be kept together?:screwy: If he did homework he would have known jars are agressive and will most likely try to beat up all other tankmates.

I have a 20" Jar with nine dats at this moment, ranging from 13"-16". He wouldn't mess with any of them! :headbang2 My question was what kind of homework shoud he have done? If it happens, it happens... There's no homework! :screwy:

Yea, thats what im saying...He finds it surprising enough so that he has to ask if its normal for a jar to fight, that sounds like no homework to me.
