baby jardini

i tried crushing the pellets and then freeze them with the blood worms but my jar waits for all the crush pellets to fall off then eats the bloodworms :/

Sorry for the delay, make it into a fine powder and mix it in thoroughly. Try mixing one pellet finely crushed into a powder.

I starved my jar for +3 weeks at a time and I gave in 3 occasions. Starving just didnt work for my jar but the blood worm/pellet trick worked within two weeks. But bloodworms are perfectly fine until the jar can get to a bulky size which is around 8 inches to submit to starving.

heres my little growth thread.

for the bloodworms do you feed it frozen to your jar because i read that feeding it frozen would cause intestinal issues

I worried about this too and through pure experience there's no harm done. I used to thaw it in my hands a bit and then throw it in but I watched my friend in disbelief as he throws 2 cubes at his 4 inch jar and his jar just scarfs them down with no problems what so ever. So I just thew them in and I couldnt see any negative effects from it. We bought our jar's roughly a month apart and there 15 inches or so now and both doing well.

I too worried about this but ive never had any problems with any of my jars they have been absolutely fine after munching frozen blocks of food
