if you have trouble with the original pic, that means you don't know gars as well as you think you do ;)

i agree with ricky's post among others.

in response to Multi's post, looking at the snout is not the only way to ID a gar, and in most cases other diagnostics are needed to confirm species. with any fish ID it's best to know several characteristics to look for in individual species--
