totally badass.
be nice if the aro could stay in it for life lol.

Yeah.. I'll have to sell my silver eventually. The pleco won't stay long either. I want to get a tire track or a fire eel, or a pair of peacock eels, as replacement. The zigzags stay small. I'm also curious as to whether two black ghost knives can make it into adulthood together.

four pic look like you are making a cake  , just moniter your silver aro, might end up on the island

Styrofoam cakes FTW! I think the arowana would jump back to the water, after destroying all my precious carnivorous plants of course. (The fish got very skittish once and jumped from one corner to the other, all the way over the island! That's the problem with mixed systems, I guess.)

My arowana has issues, man. I rescued the fish from a 25 gallons prison. (It wasn't even alone in that tank, but with the albino pleco and one of the ghost knives.) It always hides from light and comes out when I switch off the lights. There's a secure spot behind the island where it enjoys hiding. It doesn't touch anything alive either, not even ghost shrimp and harlequin rasboras.

man that tank is awesome, cant wait to see the final product if your still working on it
Thank you! Yes, I'm still working on it. I need to hide the heater/pipes, get a permanent background, and rearrange the island to hide the pots, not to mention get some new carnivores. I have arrived some big seashells, more snails, and a few new floating plants. I'm also planning to remove the air walls and place an air disc under the island so that the bubbles come up through the roots.

Nice, odd tank :)
