So I should just keep my tank at 85 degrees all the time? I have an oscar and a gt in there with the baby peacock. Is it okay for them to be in temps that warm also? Do you never get Ich in your tank because of the temp??
No need to add med yet. Meds are last resorts. You have not stuck to 14 days of salt treatment yet and you're already using another option which is far redundant and will not help matters.

Undoubtedly, many people do not even quarantine their new fish regardless of the sources and rely on luck due to lack of patience just as an excuse to introduce their new fish excitedly to their tank and wind up losing their old and new fish altogether in the process.
While ich does not necessarily kill a host, it will once the immune system weakens. Your best defense is get a quarantine tank and quarantine all your new fish next time for four weeks instead of introducing them without quarantining them. For infected hosts, avoid all stress-related factors.
Ich is present in the tank via unquarantined specimens. It is not always in every tank nor does it have dormancy stages. It will remain hidden in the gill tissues of the hosts and will reappear in outbreaks once they sense their hosts are weakening. To make sure ich is completely wiped out, keep salt treatment steady for 14 days.
