For now I'd just keep him alone. He should come around. If he sees you a lot and you spend a lot of time in and around the tank, it won't take him long to associate you with food. Oscars can definitely be pouty when they've been moved or disturbed.

You better get him into that 60 once he starts packing away the pellets. He's going to grow fast.

Yes, I can't wait for his appetite to kick in. I'll give him tidbits often at first. Part of my plan is about my husband being a sucker for hard beggars... and 1+1= larger tanks, eh? LOL.

His appetite is waking up
I dropped a red wiggler so it'd land right in front of him. He was lurking by a plant & didn't spook from my hand.
When he saw the worm keep moving, he gulped it right down. Yum. Then scarfed a 2nd one too.
both were about 1 1/2 inches long, so a good meal! I guess he prefers wiggling food.
It's a good start.
