Might help. I dont think ive ever seen a birchir that small. Have you seen him eat and is he housed with aggressive eaters?

If you want you could just divide a small section of the tank. Or find a place he likes to stay and put food there when you feed

Just hand feed it or put it or in a smaller tank by itself til it eats, Ive raised 2inch Ornates to 10" and still growing. Just gotta make sure the other fish arent eating all the food before the endli notices the food

I cant find him can hi go into gravel there is nothing in the tank that will eat him

I would also limit the fish in there so there's not too much competition for food.

A 10 gal is pretty cheap and a sponge filter is a cheap alternative. I have 2 Polys in a 10 with a sponge filter and fluval in tank filter, both less than 4". Bare bottom couple of moss balls, not overly decorated so it's easy for them to find food.
