this is one at my lfs that is stunted apparently. its in a huge tank something around the lines of 14'LxW4'xH6'. it just touches front to back. its tankmates are guppies of all things, hundreds of them from fry to adults. this guy would be the only reason i would be allowed a huge tank says the wife. she loves them.
for reference my hand is approx 8" finger tip to wrist.

^^^ Agreed^^^

Hopefully you know what you're getting into. they grow prety fast too. I know a person in this forum that picked up a 9"er a couple of months ago and now it's pushing 13" allready.

my friend bought his RTC at 3 inches and in a month and a half he was 14 inches now he is on sale at the shark aquarium in NJ

RTCS are nice fish buy silversides they love them BTW my RTC ate my 22 inch fire eel

thanks to everyone for all the help!! i will stop with the feeders and try some earthworms. and yes, i am aware of how big and fast they grow...hes in a 30 gal for about another week then i will be putting him in a 180 i just bought for him, just letting the tank cycle for a little while before i add him to the tank....im stoked rtc's are my favorite fish!!
