baby red tapajos

I made a trade for 2, but I should have taken all 4. Pics are rather usuless with them being only an inch or two but Ill try.
Do the grow quickly and whats best to feed at such a small size (flakes, frozen, crushed pelletes)?

Geez those are small!! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THEM! Pikes are ultra delicate below 3"...after that they get more hardy. But you really gotta be faithful on water changes and the like when they are small. Shoulda done a little research before you got them though.... Pikes are pretty fast growers....I would feed them guppies and ghost shrimp till they are about 3 to 4"...then wean them onto pellets, cocktail shrimp...and other prepared foods. Their growth rate should be great.

nothin I read in the last few yrs has spoken about babies (got a link or book) and it was a trade so not like i lose anything.
kind of hard to get grass shrimp since the storm but they takin some frozen foods and took out a small RR

This is why I cant take pics of the lil guy. Too small, Too quick/active and old dcam that doesnt do motion. Lost 1 but this 1 is shapeing up nicely. Eating good and very intrigued by its surroundings.
Seeing as I have not seen any pics of baby TR, Im still skeptical if these are it but like i said before, it was a trade since we were both looking to move the fish we had.

Almost looks more like a dwarf....I don't know if Tapajos Red have that prominant lateral line as juv. though...interestin...never seen any baby pictures either....

they basically the same, growing to 1-2", both clear and from Palaemonetes class.

Grass

we call em grass shrimp here cause thats where you catch em. Shallow waters with grass where they try to hide. Since the storm noone has been able get any. trying to find the time to go get some myself though.

I wouldn't feed wild caught ghost/glass...cuz they could introduce parasites and what not to your fish...rather risky. Internal parasites are rather annoying..and for a pike that small it could be fatal. Captive bred are readily available and much safer...

I was a shrimp breeder, all you need is an ice chest or barrel. If I can get some Ill get back to it.
I def would feed none since the storm anyway. It will be almost a yr before I do wild again. But of course Ill run a test on my mix breed 1st if I ever do get some.

petsmart had frozen food on sale so I went got mysis and brine packs along with other packs.
