stick with mysis...brine is pretty much useless since its small. Your little guy should be able to fill up quickly on the mysis. My pikes are almost 8" and i still feed them mysis...so its good to get them on it.

yeah it loves the mysis. was my 1st time seeing them for sale so i scooped the box 
i give it 1/4 a day, belly gets nice and full. the black belts get the rest

. And water changes at least 2 times a week. Gotta watch those nitrites and other bad stuff, they are sensative when small.

After a few packs of mysis they should look like this. By the way P.E.Mysis has the highest proetein rating of any mysis, the downfall is unless it is rinsed good it clouds your water for a little while. Good luck raising those babies

I hope it does turn out an actual RT since they have no baby pics there really is not much i can go by.

We got one pair red tapajos pike, male is 11" and femal is9-10", they are in with other cichlids, they start eat everything flakes and other dry food.
Only Lugubris pikes SUCCESSFULLY spawned is xingu I. Marmorata and Lenticulatas have spawned but I don't know of any that hatched. So no, they haven't been spawned. Lugubris are a pain in the ass to spawn....so far noone has found the right triggers, that we know of anyway.
wish i could have gotten that other (scotti) cincta. dont they tell sexes by the eye marking, whether they have it or not?
