I only just bought him two weeks ago and he was doing fine eating the and everything right up until yesterday i put a new plant in that floated on top of the water and this morning i go down to feed him and he is wedged inside it and dead... I'm guessing he got caught in it and couldn't get out.. I don't know what else it could be. His water was near perfect i fed him twice a day and he was acting fine right up until this.. I'm bummed.

Yeah just today to see its literally almost perfect 0 ammonia 0 nitrite about 10 ppm of nitrate. I'm really thinking its just that plant.

don't think those plastic plant will give off any toxic substance to poison the water, if that's true then you can sue the place you bought them from or the manufacturer and be rich 
could be that the rhom died and flow up to the plant then was wedged in it by the current. we may never know what happened. sorry for your lost man.

yeah it is possible for fish to die of organ failure. Poor guy may have just had a heart attack.
He was just fine right up until yesterday... i don't see what could of killed him that fast besides the plant. And no i actually didn't wash off the plant so since he was hiding up inside the plant if there was anything on it.. its possible that could kill him i guess.
