I need to go get a new one now... not sure if i still want to go with another baby rhom or change it up. I was thinking maybe a spilo, but they are a bit more pricey.

Not saying there's a correlation there, just that I have experienced something similar myself. I didn't blame it on the plant at the time, but after reading this it sounds like there may be something to it. BTW when I rinse tank decor now, I put H20 in a bucket, then I add dechlor to the bucket, then I rinse in the bucket. I'm paranoid that the chlorine in the water sticking to decor will kill my bacteria if i just rinse in the sink. Maybe I'm crazy...

if it is indeed the plant itself then you should bring it to the attention of the store or the manufacturer. I say sue those suckers for a million dollar![]()

Fish, despite being close to MFKers hearts, are considered property, and as such legal restitution would be limited to the amount you paid for the fish and maybe a little more (cost of the plant? maybe cost of the tank if you could prove you only bought it to keep that specific fish?). Something tells me no judge in the world would grant you a million bucks worth of damages for "pain and suffering" from the loss of a fish.![]()
