I've seen frozen catfish at my grocery store before - its in big chunks, looks like it was made for deep frying, but its just raw catfish. Do you think that'd be ok to feed to fish, or should I stick with the tilapia and raw shrimp?

yes as long as you check the additives like you do with the srimp and tillapia...i also feed my cats wc minnows and fish as they are heathy and full of vitamins/ nutriants...because they are in the wild eat the nessisary food that we try to give our fish in our homes...they just get it naturally

Expecting to purchase one soon. Any ideas on what to feed it as a juvinile.

Please no comments referring to how large it will grow, I am well aware of tht and still plan on taking full responsibility when tht time comes.

Thanks

for my standard of a rtc of what is considered a juvenile is gonna be at 12''-30'' :grinno:

they eat anything they can fit in their mouth. Just think about protein as well as some fiber roughage. People have different opinions. however with cats... I think some bugs would have been enjoyed as well too for treats. So crickets could be offered for them to try to hunt down on the surface. That would be a fun activity for those guys.

FOR your information- you do not need to buy them when you actually can get those guys for free as tons of people rehome those all of the time.
