just picked him up today! i have a problem though, he has bad gill curl and that actually what sold me on him (knowing the lfs wasnt going to do anything about it ). how do i fix this and is there hope for him? and if it comes to surgery where do i get the anesthetic?
also if i can save him i need him to grow, FAST hes in a crowded 55 grow out, with alot of fitration. i am prepared to rid my self of my p's in me other 55 grow out if he isnt going to last in there.

to fix it or help it u need to get him alone in a tank with good aeration on filtering, give him calcium suppliment to help, u can try to massage it,all else fails clove oil and snip it, but try others first, o and be prepared to get bombarded with coments like u need the san francisco bay in ur yard to house him.

hghlndr85 thanks for the advice. We are going to have him in a 400 gallon as soon as he gets big enough to not get eaten. Massage it? Does this really work and how? And what does the clove oil do? And if anyone has those kind of comments, save it for someone who cares! Because I know these fish need MASSIVE tanks and that is what we are going to provide him with. Thanks

i live in SF.....but the bay is salt water
