I got this because I have never seen them in town before, they had 2 at my LFS for 69.99$ ... He is 3" (3.5" including tail). ^_^ They said he was eating brine/mysis and probably bloodworms... I have brine and bloodworm cubes and some hikari sinking wafers but I doubt those would be suitable for him. I know they eat anything, and I'll probably order some massivore ... when will he be big enough? When he can fit it in his mouth? LOL.

And I'm upgrading my tank soon. Now I might upgrade it sooner ... :)

Just got to build my stand and once I order, only 3 weeks until the tank is built. So I'm pretty excited.

I was going to get a 300 gallon tank, but I think I'm going to extend the depth to 36" now ...


I know he'll get super huge eventually but he'll get moved at that point.


Yay. I'm so happy, I wanted one forever.

Any tips that might help me as he grows into a monster super fast? :)
 
Jeez, I paid $15 for my hybrid when I got it. But they are cool. Just build a pond, soon lol.
 
Eeee! Can't wait! May have to set up a pond in the basement in the long run ;D

Wondering if he will be okay temporarily with my angelfish. They are bigger than he is, and it won't be for long. It's just the emptiest tank I have right now (75gal) and then in about a month he will get moved. It's that or in the 125 where I'm growing out my 3 oscars and 2 plecos.
