Hey we've all overpaid for fish at some point.........
True but sadly when I go to a new fish store I get so exicited about the selection it happens to me again and again...

:duh: lol

i feed mine the hikari sinking carnivore pellets he loves em! i can drop them in the other side of the tank and even without seeing them he comes a "runnin". i've had mine for two months now and he was your size when i got him. just got up and looked at him he's already a beast jr.! no way i can house him for much longer in my 210...oops i'm still learning.

So far I've given him bloodworm cube (which my angelfish ate most of), baby brine cube (again, angelfish), a couple peas (which he tried to eat one and then spit it out ... haha), part of a worm as shown on the video, and a couple more sinking wafers. Right now he is swimming up and down the corner of the tank. I do have a couple cory cats in the tank and they are much faster than him, and I think one is missing.

I was curious if I could give him fresh caught native fish filets (bass, crappie, sunfish), boneless of course, cut into pieces? I am unsure if there is risk of disease, so could I freeze or boil to kill off the bacteria and then feed?

The baby RTC is doing good, but he is being picky. He likes chunks of meat, loves earthworms. Have seen him eat a couple bloodworms, but he is so shy that he just lets most of them get swirled away. He almost ate a pea, but spit it out.

Now he is just being really shy. Spends all of his time inside of a pot. Doesn't seem to want to come out, though he was really active the first night I got him or two. He is in with a couple pokey angelfish right now, who aren't aggressive.

Any ideas? It has only been like 4 days.
