my friend has a 5 inch baby savannah and he has had it for almost a day and hasnt seen one of its eyes open...also how should he keep it at night...its in a 29gal with douglas fur substrate a bowl of water and a hide log... he has a undertank heatpad that covers a lil more then half the bottom and a uva uvb day bulb and a red heat night bulb somewhere between 40-60watts is my guess...he is keeping the heat pad on all day and running the uva/b daylight for 10 hours and puts the red heat on till he goes to sleep at 10pm...is this a good schedule or should he take away/add anything as far as temp goes...

second eye opened today and he ate one meal worm my friend is going to send me flicks when he has time to take them...but the heat pad is still being used 24hours a day and uv lamp from 8-8 and red heat from 8-10...he keeps the red heat lamp on all night if he uses his air cond but he lives in oregon so i dont know how the temp is up there...

he is eating good and both eyes are open but he isnt to active during the day...

nice man my sav eats like a beast

is there any way to get him more active the temp in my friends room is hot its like high 80's low 90's just in the room plus the under tank heat pad and the uvlight...i think he should be pretty active at that temp right... i just got here in oregon last night so im all thrown off time clock wise but he wants to know where he can get the big drift wood branches everyone has in their monitor setup...i told him pet stores here should have them but he says they dont...so we are going to look at some today hopefull i can get some replies to this so i can check out some spot you guys know or places to get alternative branches for cheaper...thanks all

A 250 watts heat bulb would bring up the heat. But that may be over doing it, try a 100 watt first.

my friend is using a 60 watt heat and a undertank heat pad and a uv light that brings the air temp 2inches above the substrate to 90's mostly but does reach the near 100 range...is that too hot...god my whole vacation is trying to fix this tank up for my friends new pet...yell at him for me for impulsive buying...
