If they're really small you're probably better off feeding them a couple of times a day. Make sure they are getting food and not just the cichlids. Also, your cichlids may outgrow them very quickly and need to moved to a separate tank to avoid them eating the bichirs.

Gotcha! I was wondering about that myself. I will keep a close eye on that. The Cichlids pretty much just pick on each other and ignore the Bichirs right now. Not anything major as far as picking, just more of the Tiger Oscar being their usual self, inquisitive!
