Baby Silver Aros

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
look at the sticky titled "want an aro then read this" it would have helped you out before this happened. 2 aros 9 times out of 10 is a no go. i have only had luck with a group of 5 and a group of 6 while at the same time lost all but one aro from a group of 10. these aros will most likly never mix, they are telling you this now.

as for the healing of the beat aro. have the temp at 84-86f and add some salt. keep the water quality 100% perfict and aslong as its tail isn't to bad it should come back. if its tail is to far gone it will most likly die.

that being said, you have around 6-8 months before your current plans on the 210 need to be enacted. i would recomend a larger tank for it, but you will read all about that in the sticky.

You will at least a 400 to house 3 aros

:iagree:

29 gal is too small even for 2 Baby Arowana...
75 gal is too small for 3 Arowana... maybe for next 3-6 months...
210 gal is too small for one Silver Arowana...

Don't make mistake like I did ! Buy a bigger tank or do not buy Arowana !!!

you would have to keep them seperate for now

i had 3 babys and one grew more quicker

when it was like 4in he ate the smaller 2 and the green terror ended up atticking him

im waitng for my divider to come in the mail and i am also waiting for petland to get more arowanas

No offense, but going by your older posts, and you tube videos, do yourself and the fish a favor and steer clear of any new Arowanas!

Should've waited til you received more responses from everyone here...after all I've read on here the difficulty of keeping 2 aros together is pretty high. They always seem to end up fighting and running into issues.

On healing: up the temp slightly to around 82+, add slight salt, and wait it out. I used a tiny bit of melafix to heal mine after he got bit a bit by my Oscar and he was back in shape after a few days. Best of luck to you.
