So you're saying the 20 being suitable for a month is more than enough to start off :screwy:
yes he will be fine and i know it first hand. easier to feed and monitor the fish till its ready for the real tank:grinno:

dont buy it. aro at that stage are EXTREMELY difficult to keep alive, and you shouldnt buy the aro until you have a big tank in the waiting. it will outgrow the 20 long in 2 months or erlier

Be very careful when buying aros that are small without the sac!!! Ive herd that if the aro sack is off at a young age these fish can live for weeks in the LFS without the proper nutrition then you get it home and it dies shortly after...

I had silvers that were 3.5 inches and I know for sure that the best size to get your self an arowana, is around 8 inches. And before they are 12 inches it is best to keep them alone, or at least with some very peaceful fish that the arowana can handle

Also a big tank is a must, because this guys grow very fast. From 3.5 inches to 10 inches will just take about 4 months

i've raised silver arowanas from 2 inches with/with out the egg sack up to 16 inches now with little to few problems. my main thing with baby aros is 50% water changes every 3-4 days. just started another batch of 10 baby aros, hope these turn out as nice as the ones before!
