Just purchased a baby silver arowana from my boss for 15. My question is whats the best feed i got him some freeze dried bloodworms he tried them but wast thrilled i dont want him getting drop eye either. He hast eaten since i got him 3 days ago i know he still needs time but it worries me.

Sometimes New silver's won't eat for a week or two. Freeze dried bloodworms are an insufficient diet for them. Does he still have a egg sack attached? If so he won't eat till it has absorbed if not then here's what to feed him. If he is small 4-8 inches you can beef him up on Frozen bloodworms and cut up market shrimp. He may also take freeze dried krill. Usually a juvenile will never refuse frozen bloodworms though. Idealy you want him on pellets. Start with hikari foodsticks. Maybe the previous owner has already pellet trained him? If not get him fed on the frozen bloodworms first and then after he has been eating well for a while then try and offer pellets.

I treat my baby hbrtg with freeze-dried blood worm & baby arowana sticks (both azoo brand). It trills to eat blood worm but not on sticks. My baby is 4 inches now.
I've had good luck with fd krill, with the shell removed so it's only the meat that they get. Also, guppies that were previously frozen by me. If you freeze them whole, they usually float after they thaw. White market shrimp are good also. Pieces of floating carnivore sticks are good also. It usually isn't that hard to get them to eat. Just make sure no tankmates are bothering it and there's not too much current. It'll come around.
Thanks today he took the fd bloodworms but spit them out, then he took a piece of tilapia but i dont like it because he has to look down to see it as it sinks. I just dont want drop eye, he hasnt had a yolk sac in weeks

Hai Feng Pellets, Hikari foodsticks (doesn't seem to like too much) and carne pellets, frozen blood worms, frozen Krill. Occasional raw cut-up raw prawn. I was thinking of adding crickets and mealworms to the mix. Maybe when he gets bigger.
