wow, i dont know anywhere i can even get one that small anymore. i remember back in the days, they can that small and very easy to find.

g/l with the baby aro! :headbang2
I got mine with a large egg sack still on it. I know you should wait till it falls off and see if it eats but, I wanted to start with a fetus. YES, they ARE VERY FRAGILE at this size. Make sure water param's are pristine, temp's stable, and not to stress your fish. I feed mine crumbled up hikari food sticks to start out with and also FD brine shrimp. I would stick to the foods sticks first to try and get the little dude used to it. Later down the line start to vary the diet up and dont over feed, your baby might get bored of what its eating and stop accepting food all together. Once you hit about 6 inches or so your fish should be pretty good, and at 12 inches your pretty much golden. I actually prefered to start like this so I could watch the little dude grow and know what his diet consisted of. :D

my baby silver was about the size of yours when i got it. it is now about 5" and doing great. just keep an eye on it, keep the water kleen, and give it a good diet. you should be fine. good luck!

Wow!!! I've never seen one that small. The smallest I've seen in the lfs is about 5" or so. That's a little guy. Best of luck with him.

SORRY TOO FUNNY!:D

listent to what everyone else said. small silvers are usually a little more difficult to care for then bigger ones. usually anything under 6" is harder to care for. dont be surprised if it just dies on you 1 random day. especially since its your first aro. first timers i recommend like a ft long aro because it will be a lot hardier. be careful with tankmates as silvers that small get picked on and die easily. mmy baby was 2" and got killed by a 2" spotted gar. i was pissed.

you should feed it 4 times a day... floating dry food... good luck;)
