If you can't find pinheads, large crickets can work just as well. 3inch size aros can have a tough time getting around the legs and front have of the large cricket body esp if the aro is somewhat weak from not eating much. Simply cut the abdomen off the cricket (nail scissors work gd) and give him just that. Cut right where the abdomen meets the body. The hind legs need to be cut off after that. Much of the nutrients are in the belly and its very easy to swallow since its pretty soft. Pinheads can be a rip off as they're usually only a couple cents cheaper meanwhile only providing a fraction of the overall food. If you don't mind the bang for the buck with the pinheads, then go for them. For me the abdomen would go to the aro, and the head and front cricket legs would get thrown to the cichlids.lol
