if you have a divider then that may be exactly what you need to do...they say multiple arows together you should have three or more to cut down on aggression issues between them.. almost always i have heard two silvers are not compatable while three works out well...

Hmmm may need to sell one then, why in the world would they only ship bags of two? I dont want four, my wife would have a cow if i even mentioned two more seeing as how she just saw the plans for my first tank build... That went over well lemme tell you...

i do not know that answer..but i know i have multiple arow thread in arow forum and everyone mentions if you have more then one ...then have three... that two arows do not work together... but i was hoping that they would..

Well I have had pretty good success at getting them to eat pretty well over the past day, back on the krill again. I tried super worms but they dont seem to be very interested. I have some cichlid gold that I want to try to get them to eat any tips or tricks?

well i do not believe in starving..but i do think if you get them hungary by skipping a meal you can try the pellet then...if they do not eat it remove it and try again the next day... i let the cichlid pellet float on top for awhile.. otherwise let them eat as usual... thats just the way i do it.. some put them through the hunger method.. i am too afraid to chance that.. arows can be stubborn... even when older... mine went on a hunger strike for over a month..no reason..they just get moody... and he was fine.maybe you will get lucky right away..maybe you will need patience ... and finally celebrate the day.... no easy way to know..but never stop trying...lol

Hi i picked up a 10cm silver aro last week. The previous owner was feeding brine shrimp and blood worms. The first night i tried both but only successful with blood worms. I then tried half a Hikari foodstick. The little bugger snapped it up quick. So that's all im feeding my new aro atm. Its currently housed in a 2ft tank all on its own. I want it to grow to at least 15-17cm before i let it go in the 6x2x2.

Any ideas on how long this would take before it gets to this size?

Im feeding 2 sticks broken into halves twice a day.

very very good wow are you very lucky,.......please post a pic of your baby in the baby arow thread in arowana forum...love to see him..i know they grow fast but to tell you how soon or how fast would be speculation ... but the rate of growth is staggering at this age if he is eating good etc.. i think you are doing fine in the amount your feeding... and one thing i would not do is give him anything else for awhile... sometimes they go off the pellets if they try something else they like better... i would not chance it and he is getting everything he needs in those arow sticks... maybe someone can pin down more accurate growth rate in the arow forum... check it out...and best of luck to you..and welcome to MFK

This next bit doesnt come from experience, but i have researched for countless hours and i believe the norm is 1 inch per month. So I'd venture to say 2-3 months..

So I've determined they really just dont care for me messin around anywhere near their tank. Did another water change of about 20-25% and they both instantly decided to go on food strike. So it seems they may be this way until they grow up a little. thanks for all the info guys.

Sometime's when the little one gave me a scare and went on a hunger strike I would soak the pellets in freshly squeezed galic juice and water....they actually went for it....might stink a little....;)

Anyhow, seems you are doing well....plenty of space, variety of food, clean water, great filtration is all key factors....seems like you know this already...keep us updated with results.....I personally would sell one.....Its 2 years and I started mine from a little guy with an egg sack still on him....now, he's 2 feet plus. :)

Yeah I've got feelers out but it doesnt seem there are too many monster maniacs in my area... May prove hard to off load the lil guy...
