Baby spotted bass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that's a really nice looking spotted, we have some naturally occurring spotted/smallmouth hybrids here in mo that are the most aggressive bass ive ever caught fishing; I think spotted bass are one of the most overlooked fish for the N/A aquarium......theyre hardy, and smart little monsters.

I am with you on this. They seem to have a different type of energy. They have a combination of speed and ambush, with the fact that they move around a lot. Most largemouths just post up under a log or something all day. I think a lot of people actually own these bass, but mistake them for largemouths.

Really good looking fish. How big do they get?

Sent from my DROID RAZR using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

They max out at about 2ft and can get up to 10lbs (pure Kentucky or spotted bass size, hybids with smallmouths or largemouths get bigger)

I honestly don't even know how I would go about doing that. It's spring though, so just about any heavily weeded area will act as nurseries to the juvies. I would recommend buying a long dip net from walmart, and rake it through the weeds. You will have to sift through the weeds, but it will be full of juviniles of every species. Learn how to through a cast net, and any fish you want in your tank is yours for the taking. With practice you will be an expert.

A cast net and dip net would cost you less than overnight shipping.

Could you guys perchance , MnRebel and Cray use the Ignore function, please?
